Summer !

A busy weekend but grabbed fine minutes to do some gardening Not!

🍢Plastic Free πŸ₯›

We are trying to go plastic free. Not easy but a first step was going back to Good old milk deliveries and Milk Bottles πŸ₯›πŸΆ

It not only supports our local Farmers but makes us a little more proud ” we are doing our bit”.

Julies Blog has gone live

Recently we decided to make a effort to try and reduce single use plastic in our daily lives..No easy “trust me”

So Julie has now started her own blog to share her experiences and advice

Ingleborough June 2019

Last year we completed the 3 Yorkshire peaks spread over 3 seperate visits.I never said i was an athlete ☹

Sadly we got lost on the top of Ingleborough( fog etc). And had to take a detour!!

So this we decided to try again and beatΒ  our failure.

So 5 hours later and 17km of ” interesting terrain !” success.

RHS Harlow Carr 2019

Today was the RHS flower show at Harlow Carr near Harrogate.

We started by driving to the local Rugby club hosting the Park and Ride.Sadly Harrogate still suffers from so many road works its a nightmare so park and ride is ideal.

On arrival at Harlow Carr a quick but late breakfast and the show opening courtesy of Gardening Royalty Alan Titchmarsh.

Who gave a very interesting and light hearted history of Harlow Carr and other experiences ” a very funny gentleman”.

Thorp Perrow Arboretum 2019 Fantastic

Today Julie mentioned that she wanted to visit a place called Thorp Perrow Arboretum .

I have never heard of this place and i have to say “11 out of 10”..from start to end a total surprise with great weather , great location.

It includes one of the largest collections of Trees covering 100 Acres i have ever seen,a Falconary, and a Mammal zoo( where i fed my first Wallaby).

The whole layout was fantastic and my poor Camera Phone took a Hammering with over 200 Pictures..
